Birding in a new area can be more challenging if you don’t know the top locations and how to get there. The choice of eBird Hot Spots featured is based on number of species seen, not necessarily most recent. Some of the Hot Spots are best for winter water birds and some best for summer nesting and migrants.

Initially there are over 160 links in the map, leading to some errors I’m sure. Please let me know when you find one or have a new location to add.

Display varies with PC, Tablet or Smart phone. Not all features are available across every platform.

Click on the map, zoom, switch between map & satellite and explore.
The RED icons are eBird Hot Spots, the GREEN Flags are most recent eBird report from county. Note: Green Flags are not specific birding locations, just middle area of a county.

Mouse over icons to see Hot Spot/County name, click and a link to eBird appears.
